Colin Cameron - Director

Colin is a panel beater by trade, but unlike most panel beaters, Colin has also worked for four years as an insurance assessor for a major NZ owned insurance company. This experience means he has exceptional insight into the collision repair industry and really understands what it takes to repair a vehicle and get it back on the road.

Since buying the business three years ago, Colin and fellow Director Andrew Fletcher have taken Brown and Paterson from strength to strength. For Colin, Brown and Paterson is all about providing peace of mind through offering a service that makes everything easy and stress-free after the drama of having a crash.

Colin lives in Christchurch with his wife on a small farm with lots of animals. A car and motor racing enthusiast, Colin can be found tearing up the speedway or restoring cars in his spare time. He also enjoys camping, fishing, boating and travel. Colin's burning desire is to be happy, live long and travel more.

Andrew Fletcher – Director

Like Colin, Andrew also has an impressive background in the car and panel repair industry. Here’s a man who really knows how to make a car truly gleam! Andrew is a qualified automotive painter. He then took this knowledge and applied it to sales, selling automotive paint and finishes to auto paint retailers and wholesalers around the South Island. Before buying Brown and Paterson, Andrew spent some time in the insurance industry focusing on auditing car repair work.

Andrews is in charge of our friendly customer service team, loves assisting our customers with quotes and advice, and brings a trained and qualified eye to all the paint work undertaken at Brown and Paterson.

When he can, Andrew loves to enjoy a relaxing BBQ with friends and family, go to classic car rallies and shows and spends time with the children flying kites. He lives in Christchurch with his wife, two children and their two pet budgies. Andrew’s burning desire is to create more leisure time so he can enjoy it with his family.

Julie - Office Clerk & Reception

Julie’s role at Brown and Paterson is as varied as her background. She’s worked in the motor industry for 14 years, in legal and accounting practices as well as the Pakistani Embassy in Canberra.

Julie is our friendly receptionist and not only looks after our customers but also takes care of all the back office and admin tasks from wages, tax returns, bank statement reconciliations, debtors and creditors to picking up parts and even driving customers back to work or home.

Julie lives in Christchurch with her partner and has 2 kids. A talented ballroom dancer, she has developed her skill in Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue dancing to Oscar medal standard which is the highest level achievable in ballroom dance.

Outside of Brown and Paterson, Julie also loves to relax in the sun with a good book, go to the movies and travel. Her burning desire is to travel to China, Greece, Turkey, Hawaii and Florida before she retires.

Russell Keown - Paintshop Manager

Russell is in charge of our Paintshop and is the ultimate multi tasker; doing everything and anything to get the job done. As Russell has worked in the panel beating industry and been at Brown and Paterson for many years, he’s a familiar face to many of our customers.

Russell lives in Christchurch with his wife, has 4 kids and a menagerie of pets. He loves fishing, motor cycling, camping and travelling around New Zealand enjoying the sights and activities the country has to offer.
